American WestDesert, canyons, and ruined cities populate this area. It stretches from the Pacific Coast to the state borders (right side) of North/South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. This is the most civilized of the three regions in the US.

The MidwestMostly fields of dead grass and prairie from the western borders of Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana to the Appalachian Mountains. A wilder area with less and less settlements, this place is sometimes plagued with freakish monsters that cross the Appalachians from the East.

The Deep SouthThis swampy and dangerous region stretches through eastern Texas, southern Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Georgia, and Florida. The northern boundary of Georgia is near instant death to cross. The Deep South is full of radioactive swamps, mutated rednecks, and brutal Southern Baptist settlements. If nature doesn't get you, the people will.

East CoastCurrently locked because of immense radiation. Players who pass over the Appalachian Mountains will die of radiation poisoning... or worse.

CanadaDuring the war, Canada was hit by a series of strategic bombing runs that contained an experimental Chinese supervirus, which resulted in 95% Canadian casualties (since no one was prepared for the war in the first place, expecting to remain neutral). The virus has since died out and isn't around anymore, but in the century after the apocalypse, Canada has gained a reputation for being a dark and forbidding (not to mention cold) place. Very few people choose to travel this far north, and even fewer return, and the land remains shrouded in mystery.
