Twilight AKA Sparkle like diamonds in sunlight

Now, we're all aware of Twilight, of it's dead, mary sue like characters, plot that makes you want to vomit, the destruction of the vampire image, and the mass amount of FUCKING RETARDS that it has created, but please, share how this little...movement, has changed how your lives, how it makes you feel.

Oh, and before you start, here's one little thing to think of now, Breaking Dawn is coming to theaters, and there's plans to create a Twilight MMO.

Well, i was going to watch the movie since i thought "Vampires?? damm, got to see that" but someone told me "don't watch it, it's gay D=" so i thought "it must be the vampires like the ones that always appear in the shoujo mangas" so i didn't read it nor wacth it XP

Twilight is... Well.

It's the reason I hate vampires.

I used to think they were pretty cool... Okay, let me clarify something. By "vampires" I'm referring to either one of two kinds of vampire: the badass pale freakishly fearsome looking monsters that rip people in half and drain their fluids a la Bram Stoker and the cute, cuddly centuries old loli versions (Remilia/Flandre Scarlet, that girl from Bakemonogatari (Oshino Shizuka?)).

I always hated the traditional bishounen, and that's basically what today's vampire is. If it's not that, it's one of those generic fantasy strong/mysterious/troubled/dangerous/witty woman template types that everyone and their mom uses in their writing. And I hate those too ;_;

On Twilight, well... I love romance (lol puns). I used to like vampires. So I should at least acknowledge this, right?

Honestly, I think it's a pretty boy escapist fantasy written by some dried up old woman who dreams about her ideal youth, throwing in some vampires to boost sales since every girl under 19 is fucking crazy for prettyboys and wannabe Gothic elements. Plot where?

Oh, and there are other little things that piss me off. Such as the fact that in my area the "vampire fangirl" is heavily discriminated against, to the point where anything having to do with undeath ends in cries of TWILIGHT. I wanted to start one of the Warhammer anthologies, The Vampire Genevieve, because I like Warhammer and I figured it'd have enough dark fantasy to somewhat fill the hole that appeared after I finished the Malus Darkblade books (which were fucking awesome and one of my favorite series). But now I can't. :/

I don't know. I've been noticing that more and more girls go for abusive relationships nowadays, and that annoys me (since I'm not abusive and want in on the action here). Twilight furthers that for me.

Meh, that's my take. Who knows, I might have felt differently on the subject if I had breasts. :/

If it was focusing solely on the book, yes, but Twilight has sadly become a franchise now, so it covers more than just writing.

At least a twilight MMO would get girls into gaming XD but then there'd always be a certain time frame every month where that mute player button REALLY comes in handy...

Think about it. This really isn't the first time we've seen this. Girls (and guys) have a tendency to obsess over all kinds of things. Fallout Boy, the Jonas Brothers, this is nothing new. o_O Luckily, I haven't actually encountered anyone IRL who is that obsessed with it...

The girlfriend isn't really more obsessed with Twilight than most guys are with video games... I gotta say, she's not watching/ discussing Twilight 14 hours a day, every day

To be fair, we get obsessed with stuff too. At least I do. I killed 48 hours of time playing Dwarf Fortress within my first 72 hours owning it. I was damn hungry once I finished.

On the other hand, DF is, you know, good.

Speaking of gaming, I wonder when that Twilight MMO will come out. Once it does, some group like 4chan is sure to have a field-day with it, and I'll be sure make a nice article on Encyclopedia Dramatica about the inevitable raids.

Also we all know why girls like twilight so much...feminine guys take off their shirts...and they have muscles. Well I was recently in touch with my friend who was forced to see new moon with his girlfriend (by the way I felt sorry for him but it was so worth it and very funny listening to him rant for almost 3 hours.) and he said when the other fag what ever his name is not edward takes off his shirt their was an audible gasp and sigh from all the females in the theater. And what he said next pretty much explains why twilight is popular. "And then the room got moist." Yup their it is buddy. Right fucking their!
