Hi, my name - at least in the online world - is Clephas. I've run several similar forums to this one in the past. That is, story rp forums. Rin appropriated one of my refined rule-sets and messed with it for his Bleak Future forum. Because he is a friend I decided to drop in and show my support, but I don't know if I have any intention of making a splash as a member.
Forums like these have a great value for aspiring writers, as they create opportunities to master creative writing on the fly, writing dialog, and switching writing styles as needed.
I guess I'll give a more in depth introduction...
I am twenty-seven years old, a veteran writer, and I enjoy making stupid jokes. I write, read, play rpgs, and watch anime. I appreciate good food and I make my own root beer. I worked as a translator for several anime fansub groups, including Batsu (my own creation), m33w (a hit or miss group with some serious talent, and Sakura-Shrine (a small group that is re-subbing Card Captor Sakura).
My favorite authors include: Stephen Erikson, Michelle Sagara West, Jim Butcher, and Kinoko Nasu (did the Tsukihime and Fate/Stay visual novels, as well as the Kara no Kyoukai novels).
As a veteran of this kind of forum, I have once piece of advice... recruit like mad! Seriously, if you can't bring people in there is no beginning at all. Though, once you get things going they tend to keep going on inertia for quite a while if the admin is any good.
