Kidou System
Your Kidou Score:
This number represents the amount of Spells you know, and how proficient you are at performing said spells. The maximum amount of points one can have in any Skill is 200, so naturally if you have a 200 in your Kidou skill, you are godly.
The way you gain new spells is pretty easy. For every 5 points you have in your base kidou score, you gain a new spell. , so, if you have 30 points in Kidou, you know 6 spells. Bonuses that change your Kidou score do not effect the number of spells you know. It is your base state that effects this number. So if that 30 changes to 40 through a power up, you do not gain another spell. Yay easy!
Now, there are rules about what Kidou you can know at what rank. For instance, at rank 5, you cannot learn Hado 99. Instead, this is where class comes into play. Think of it like this. Low Class is considered Beginner or basic, Mid class is considered Intermediate, High is considered Advanced, and Elite is considered Master. Even if an individual is within the Class needed, that does not necessarily mean they will be able to learn the higher level kidou. When attempting to learn Kidou of Level 80 or more the player must have the permission of the Game Moderator. Simply PM them and they will review your character and their development, then get back to you with a response as soon as possible. When a character attempts to learn a new Spell, the spell must be of equal class (it will be labelled basic, intermediate, advanced or master) or lower than the class of the character attempting to learn it.
Non Chanting (in other words, not using the incantation of a spell that has one):
Non chanting kidou is forbidden before Rank 10. Only those with a Kidou score of 50 or more are allowed to use Non-Chanting spells, and even then, the spell itself has 1/3 the normal potential. Some spells are listed as Basic, which means no Incantation is required. If an incantation is listed, a player must use the incantation until they reach a tier higher than the rank of the spell. For instance, if a spell is labeled basic, and a player is also in the Low tier, they must us the incantation. But if a spell is basic and the player is in the Intermediate tier, they are able to perform the spell without the incantation.
Double Chanting:
This means using two incantations after another in order to use two spells at once. This is forbidden before rank 10, and a player must have a kidou level of 50 or more to do so. Other than that, the non chanting rules apply.
Shunpo, Sonido and Hirenkyaku:
The art of Shunpo, Sonido and Hirenkyaku, also known as flash stepping, is the ability of a being to move fast enough that they appear to vanish and reappear somewhere else. This technique can be very draining and result in major fatigue if not properly trained.
You are able to perform 1 flash step for every 5 points you have in your speed related skill. Humans are not able to perform Flash Steps, unless they are Quincy. When you reach your limit, you are unable to perform any more flash steps until you rest.
Difference in Speed:
1-9 Points in speed difference, the Shunpō / Sonído / Hirenkyaku appears to be just a very quick darting movement that is difficult to defend against, but certainly not impossible.
10-18 Points difference, the user becomes a blur to the receivers vision, and there is only a split second to defend against it, and only a touch more to dodge. This difference causes a large gap in speed so two people racing with this level difference would be notably different.
19-27 Points, make the user impossible to see. The higher skilled user disappears from sight and performs a true flash step. No matter how hard a target may be, the flash step is extremely difficult to withstand and the receiving character better have a good defense ready.
28+ Points. The receiver may as well be standing like a statue. It is near impossible to defend at this kind of speed.
